What we do…

At Future Inclusions we have a mission to promote and support people to reach their full potential, engaging people in life skills based training and learning with a particular focus on the principles of participation and empowerment.

We are a community led organisation and we have delivered a number of other projects since we were founded. The IP1 Football Project was developed in direct response to the needs of young people locally to access free and good quality provision. Click here to see a video of the project.

Currently we run two key project that form the core of our work.

Promoting and supporting young people…

LIFE WORKS PROGRAMME:

Our Life Works Programme is a 12-week programme for young people and adults providing an important opportunity to learn new skills, social networks. The programme aims to support and empower all participants to make change in their lives, whatever the change they are looking to make.

The Life Works Programme focuses on building confidence, self-esteem and empowers participants through supporting them to learn new skills. The programme has a significant track record for improving participant’s attitude and feelings toward accessing training and employment opportunities.

POSITIVE CHOICES:

Our Positive Choices programme works with ex-offenders to provide support and educational opportunities for young people on the fringes of the criminal justice system or with significant issues that prevent them from accessing mainstream support.

All the ex-offenders give their time voluntary and are required to complete the Future Inclusions training course to participate in the programme. The volunteer ex-offenders then provide group work, talks, lessons and advocacy to young people who are referred or known to us here at Future Inclusions.
